The Malvinas Current ( also called Falkland Current or Falklands Current ) is an equatorward flowing current that carries cold and relatively fresh subantarctic water.

It flows south from the equator to the west wind drift . It joins the Falkland Current at the Argentine Sea ( see Brazil Falkland Confluence ), making it a temperate sea.
